Yes, I know. Long time no updates. Just a few things. First off, We would all like to Wish Morgan the best of luck at Ride The Lobster in two weeks. His team is al lsetup and ready to compete. Check out http://ridethelobster.com for updates as the race nears. Also, a huge thanks to Jimmy John's sandwich shops at Purdue for hiring all of our unicyclists as bike messengers for delivery. Guy, Joseph, Alex and Myself all work at the state street location and it had proved to work out quite well. Updates will be forthcoming this summer and fall and you might even see some fixed gear updates as about half of our roster now rides fixed gear as well.
Hilly is over

The Hilly Hundred has come and gone. 4 of us rode on Saturday and we ran into another random unicyclist by the name of Morgan. He was doing the route on his Kris Holm 29" and rode with us for the rest of the day. Sunday brought on a lot of fatigue and equipment problems so we cut it short and went into Bloomington for the day to enjoy IU and the mall as well as a good lunch. Morgan ended up completing the route both days and Joseph and Mike completed it on Saturday. Congrats to all who finished the various days routes.

Holy Crap! Two updates in one day. That is unheard of! Anyway, when I posted the first update I mentioned making a photo gallery type area for our tours. A few minutes after I posted that I thought about how nice it would be to have that type of content on our page so I took some valuable company time on the clock to throw some photos together. You can click the "Past Tours" link at the top of the page to view our past ventures and under each tour there should be a link to a photos page. Just remember, I don't code very well so its all basic HTML. That means the big tours will have very long pages (25+ photos for RAGBRAI). Hope you all enjoy it!

Tour De Crossroads has come and gone. It was a quick 40 mile ride by C.T. and Mike that day and we are looking forward to leaving for the Hilly Hundred this afternoon. We will be sure to post many new pictures of Hilly Hundred and after we get back I may even create a photo gallery with images of RAGBRAI, Hilly Hundred and random trials sessions that seem to be getting much more popular with our riders! Also we would like to welcome Logan Stalions and Brent Bohs to the unicycling team. Logan is one of Joseph's friends who took up riding and will likely ride a 29" touring cycle when he purchases one and Brent is C.T.'s friend and a Jimmy John's delivery cyclist who recently purchased a 24" torker for learning. Both of these guys are learning very fast and seem to be loving every minute of it!
Tour De Crossroads

Team Freestyle was invited to ride in Tour De Crossroads next week on September 22nd. This is a ride in West Lafayette that the Boy Scouts of America usually ride in when earning their cycling merit badge. There will be many other riders on the tour and we have been invited to enjoy the tour with them. More to come on this event after we finish it. We also rode the 26 mile loop of the Wabash River Century on August 25th which went very well. Guy was riding a cycle he was not yet used to so we cut the 40 mile plan down to 26 but all was well considering the weather quickly turned against us as soon as we finished the ride. It was a fun time for us overall and we plan to make a return to the century next year.

Team freestyle will not be attending Ride The Lobster in 2008. We are a recreational team and wish to remain on non competitive tours as opposed to races. Our team wishes the best of luck to all of the RTL 2008 participants next summer.

Team Freestyle's first run of RAGBRAI was a great success and a metric pile of fun! Both Joseph and C.T. rode this year with the help and support of Team Roadshow. Kudos to Team Roadshow for all of their help and encouragement this year. We plan on riding next year with Roadshow and have a few additional riders.

DAMNIT! Someone cut the lock on my Nimbus 36"er and made off with it. If I don't replace it soon I may be out for RAGBRAI. I should be able to replace the unicycle in time but training will seriously suck as I'll need to make up for lost time.
